offsetting carbon emissions
by offsetting our carbon emissions, we are now certified by The Climate Label.

cutting down on our emissions
we are partnering with Tribal Renewable Energy Fund to decrease emissions.
Tribal Renewable Energy Fund supports a variety of energy-related projects on tribal lands we are specifically teaming up with the Blackfeet Nation Community Solar Project to help offset an estimated 223,530 kWh/year, which will save 34% of energy!

how are we reducing carbon emissions?
despite its stigma, plastic is the lowest impact material and the best option for us. here's why: first, we've found that sourcing glass results in a 40x higher impact than PCR plastic.*
the next material we looked at is virgin aluminum, which has a high impact dues to its mining + refining process. lastly, we can't source recycled material with an unstable supply making it difficult to use recycled aluminum. we know that glass and aluminum have high recyclability rates, but when looking at the entire supply chain as a whole, we couldn't justify switching to tighter impact materials.
