For Black History Month, we want to amplify and share the work of Black artists who inspire us and our community. Their work covers all facets of hair; cut, color, styling, extension work, wig work, braiding, and everything in between. On the @amikapro Instagram page, we highlight artists with incredible skills and versatility, and share some of their work. So, we thought we’d bring this to the strand to showcase some amazing people and hair!

Ursula is a celebrity hair stylist who works with top tier talent. She's worked on everything from red carpets to magazine covers, to backstage at Fashion Week as a TRESemme ambassador, and some seriously stunning MET Gala creations.
Pekela Riley is a nationally published celebrity hair stylist, owner of Salon PK, educator, on-air personality, and serial entrepreneur. As an avid writer, Pekela has a gift for exploring the intersection of natural hair phenomena between styles & shifts in society.
